Sherly Mboay, a Law student who invented edible cups in Kenya and had the chance to show the invention in Sweden during the Stockholm climate meeting. The innovation is a sustainable alternative to single-use of plastics.
The cups are made of edible resources that can be consumed by living things including human beings. The cup is free from allergies, and cholesterol. The good part is that it has no sugar.
The innovation is under development by GreenX Telemechanics Limited. Which comes up with innovative solutions that address challenges man faces but also contribute to climate action.
EATIT a company in Bohsari has also come up with a drink and eat revolution. Their solution is a tasty, flavorful, and more
importantly, eco-friendly solution, which has taken the eat and drink world by storm. Their products include edible cutlery, edible cups, biscuit cups, waffle cups, and eco-friendly cups.
The edibles add to the taste and the flavor of the food or beverage one has consumed, giving it a great “after-taste”; which is total customer satisfaction, and more importantly a radically enhanced customer and consumer eating experience that will be cherished.
EATIT EDIBLE CUPS essentially are; completely edible and completely bio-degradable food and beverages containers and cutlery that are hygienically made from clean, nutritious, and delicious ingredients like organic all-purpose flour, corn starch, Ragi (Finger Millets – Nachni Jivan satva), and sugar.
